Charging Strategy
In WCS, different types of equipment may require different battery management methods. Charging strategies are configured according to the battery characteristics of each device type. These strategies enable the system to optimize charging behavior, ensuring that devices have sufficient power for continuous operation and can complete tasks safely and efficiently.

Parameter | Description |
---|---|
Low Battery Charging Threshold | When a device's battery level drops below this threshold and an idle charging station is available, the system automatically generates a charging task and dispatches the device for charging. |
Low Battery Task Rejection Threshold | When the battery level falls below this value, the device will stop accepting new tasks to ensure enough time and power remain for charging. This helps prevent task failures or device shutdown due to insufficient power. |
Charge During Idle Time | Whether the system should send devices to charge during idle periods, even if the battery hasn't yet reached the low battery threshold. This keeps the battery at an optimal level for upcoming tasks. |
Idle Time Waiting Duration | Specifies how long a device must remain idle before it is dispatched to charge, if Charge During Idle Time is enabled. This avoids unnecessary charging for short idle gaps. Unit: Minute |
Charge Completion Calibration | Whether the system should occasionally allow the device to charge to 100% to perform a battery calibration. This helps align the Battery Management System (BMS) display with the actual battery level, improving accuracy and extending battery life. |
Calibration Cycle | Specifies how often the device should perform a full charge calibration cycle. Unit: Day |
Stop Charging Threshold | When a device's battery reaches this level during charging, the system automatically ends the charging session. |
Task Acceptance Threshold | If a device is charging and a new task is available, it can stop charging and take the task once its battery level reaches this threshold. |
Yield Charging Station | Whether a device currently charging should yield its charging station if another low-battery device requires it and no other chargers are available. |
Charging Yield Threshold | If Yield Charging Station is enabled, a charging device will only yield the station if its current battery level exceeds this configured value. |
