Overview
The Item DI system provides a unified environment for data integration and workflow automation across the Item ecosystem. It enables e-commerce businesses to connect third-party platforms, synchronize business data, and automate cross-system processes using a combination of prebuilt integrations, visual flows, and AI-assisted tools.
The system is organized into four core modules. Each module supports a specific stage in the data integration lifecycle, from initial configuration to automation and intelligent process management.
Workspace
- Use the Workspace module to create and manage merchants, view basic business information, and connect to internal or external systems by adding Connectors.
- Connected systems can be used in automated workflows or flow templates for syncing orders, inventory, and shipment data.
Integrations
- The Integrations module provides a catalog of prebuilt connectors for popular e-commerce, ERP, and logistics platforms such as Shopify, Amazon, and WooCommerce.
- You can search for a specific platform, review its supported operations, and configure a secure connection directly within Item DI.
Workflow
- A workflow defines how data moves between systems, starting from triggers, passing through logic and data transformation tools, and ending with connector actions such as order creation or inventory update.
- Use the Workflow feature to build, test, and deploy data workflows in the visual automation canvas, or directly use flow templates to automate business processes.
Agent Factory & MCP
- The Agent Factory and MCP features extend Item DI with intelligent automation capabilities.
- You can create AI-driven agents or integrate Item DI’s connectors as MCP-compatible tools for use via the AI chat feature.
