BigCommerce

Before the connection, you need to create an API account in BigCommerce and get the access token first.

Getting the Access Token

  1. Login in to BigCommerce (opens in a new tab) with your account and go to your BigCommerce store.
  2. Navigate to Advanced Settings > API Accounts.
  3. Go to the Store API Accounts page, Click Create API Account.
  4. Enter the Name and copy the Store HASH (the value between /stores/ and /v3/ in the API Path).
  5. Under Oauth Scopes, specify the API resources required for Item DI to access and Click Save.

Access Token

  1. The BigCommerce API Credentials pop-up window appears, copy the Access Token and make a note.

Connecting to BigCommerce

After generating the Access Token, sign in to Item DI and follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to Merchants > select the desired merchant > Connectors.
  2. Select Sales Channels under the Live Channels section.
  3. Click the + New Channels button or the "new channel" text link. The new channels window will appear.
  4. Select Bigcommerce from the channels list.
  5. Fill out the required fields:
  • Channel Name
  • Store Hash
  • X-Auth-Token (Access Token)
  1. Click Test Connection.
  2. If the "Connection Successful" message appears, click Submit. The BigCommerce channel will be connected.

Default Switch

  1. The default switch protocol pop-up window will appear, and the system will automatically enable data syncs including order sync, shipment status sync, and inventory sync.
  2. To proceed, check the box next to I agree and click Submit.

It’s recommended to enable data syncs when connecting channels. If you skip this step, you can still configure these options in Sales Channel Settings (opens in a new tab). When you switch to other item applications, the connected channels under this merchant will be synced as well.
