Card Readers

General Introduction

When subscribing to the Item solution with the POS system, a hardware card reader will be provided as an accessory. This section provides a detailed explanation of how to bind a card reader, add new card readers, view and edit existing card reader information, and manage your card readers. Using the card reader simplifies the order checkout process.

To View Card Reader Information

  1. Click Payment Setting, then select the sub-menu Card Readers from the navigation panel on the left side of the main interface. The Card Readers page will be displayed.

    • The basic information of the card readers is listed in the table.

      - Reader ID: Displays the unique identification number of the card reader.
      - Location: Displays the store name where the card reader is used.
      - STATUS: Displays the current status of the card reader.

  1. To view the detailed information: Click the reader ID. The "Readers Details" page, as shown in the image below, will appear. You can view detailed information about the reader, including the location, POS number, pairing code, and status. Click Cancel to return to the Card Readers page.

To Set Status / Edit Information

You can switch the status and edit the detailed information for the card reader.

  1. Check the box next to the reader ID. A menu bar with ACTIVE/INACTIVE and EDIT buttons, as shown in the images below, will appear.

  1. Click ACTIVE/INACTIVE to activate or deactivate the selected card reader.

  2. Click EDIT to open the Edit Readers interface, as shown in the image below. Here, you can modify the following information.

    Location: Select a location from the drop-down menu. The "location" refers to the store name that you set when adding new stores in the Store Management module.
    POS number: Choose a POS number from the drop-down list that corresponds to the store and selected card reader.
    Pairing code: Input the pairing code generated by the card reader.
    Status: Set the current status of the card reader.

  1. Click Save to store the changes. You will be returned to the Card Readers page.

To Add a New Card Reader

  1. On the Card Readers page, click + Add New in the top right corner. The interface, as shown in the image below, will appear.

  1. Select the location, POS number, and status from the drop-down menus, and enter the pairing code.

  2. Click Save to connect the new card reader. You will then return to the Card Readers page, where the newly added card reader will be listed in the table.

Note: The pairing code is generated by the card reader. The hardware card reader is involved in retrieving the pairing code. Follow the steps below to obtain the paring code.

  • Switch on your card reader.
  • Slide the screen from side to access "Settings".
  • Enter the code PIN07139.
  • Navigate to the pairing code settings.
  • Locate the pairing code.
