Channel Mapping

Channel Mapping

If you connect your sales channels to the item systems and configure the product download settings, the system will automatically download products from your channels on a regular basis.

The Channel Mapping feature allows you to link products from your sales channels to those in item PIM. This enables you to define rules for managing inventory and pricing, which can then be applied to channel products. You can also sync updated inventory levels and pricing with the connected sales channels.

Mapping Page Overview

On the channel mapping page, there are two parts of data that can be mapped:

  • Channel Products: Displayed in the Channel Data section, along with details such as Channel SKU and product name.

  • Master Products: Products you have manually imported or created in item PIM. They are shown in the Master Data section, including details like SKU, name, description, inventory, price, and UPC.

Unmapped data is represented by blue arrows, while mapped data is represented by green arrows. You can also filter unmapped data by selecting the View Unmapped SKU option.

Mapping Methods

You can map products using the following methods:

  • Channel Product Mapping: Directly map source data to target data. The source data is retrieved from third-party channels via Item DI, while the target data consists of products added in item PIM (Single products, Combo products, Custom products).
  • Bulk Mapping: Map multiple channel products to one master product at once.
  • Import Mapping: Upload the excel or csv file using a provided template to import mapping rules in bulk.
  • Match Exact SKU/UPC: Map products based on an exact match of the product's SKU/UPC.
  • Clear Mapping: Remove existing mapping relationships between channel and master products.
  • Export Mapping: Export a list of mapped products based on your selection.

Channel Product Mapping

To map channel data to master data manually:

  1. Navigate to Channels > Channel Mapping.
  2. Select a channel from the channel list. The products under this channel will appear in the Channel Data section.
  3. In the Master Data section, choose one method to map products:
    • Copy from Channel: If the product doesn’t already exist in the master list. This allows you to create a new product in the system based on channel data.
    • Manual mapping: Connect existing products in the master list by keywords searching or selecting directly.

  1. Select + Copy from Channel from the drop-down menu in the selection box. You’ll be redirected to the product page.
  2. Fill in the required product details.
  3. Click Confirm. The new product will be saved in the Single Products section.
  4. Back to the mapping page, the product you created will now appear in the Master Data section.
  5. Select the product and map it to the corresponding channel product.
  6. Click Save Changes to finalize the mapping.

Manual mapping

  1. Type keywords (e.g., product name or SKU) in the selection box to search or scroll through the list to select the product.
  2. Once selected, the product data will appear in the Master Data section.
  3. Click Save Changes to confirm the mapping.

Bulk Mapping

To map multiple channel SKUs to a single master SKU:

  1. In the Channel Data list, select the products you want to map.
  2. Click Bulk Mapping from the Action menu.
  3. In the selection box, enter keywords to search for the master product or scroll through the list to select it.
  4. Click Map SKU to complete the mapping process.

Import Mapping

Import

To import mapping using a template:

  1. Click Import Mapping from the Action menu.
  2. In the pop-up window, click Download Template.
    * The template contains a separate sheet for each channel by default.
  3. Fill in the template with the mapping relationships between channel products and master products.
  4. Upload the completed file.
  5. Click Confirm to complete the import.

The system will verify whether the products exist in both the channel and master lists. Matching items will be mapped automatically.

Match Exact SKU/UPC

Match

To map products by SKU or UPC:

  1. Select the products from the Channel Data list.
  2. Click Match Exact SKU or Match Exact UPC in the Action menu.
  3. A pop-up window will display the match results:
    • For unmatched products, you can save them as new products by clicking Import from Channel.
    • For matched products, check the box and click Map Exact SKU/UPC to complete the mapping.

Clear Mapping

To remove the mapping from the channel to the master SKU:

  1. Select the products you want to unmap from the Channel Data list.
  2. Click Clear Mapping in the Action menu.

The mappings will be removed, and the products will return to an unmapped state.

Export Mapping

To export the current mapping data:

  1. Select specific products from the Channel Data list. If no products are selected, it will export all mapping data automatically.
  2. Click Export Mapping in the top-right corner. The system will generate a file containing the current mapping relationships.
