Submit MCP Application
This guide describes the formal process for developers to publish your MCP server to the public Item MCP Marketplace. Unlike the private Add Server function, these submissions undergo a rigorous two-round review process (AI Automated Review + Manual Review) before they are visible to other users.
The 5-Step Submission Workflow
To begin, click the purple Submit MCP Application button in the top-right corner of the Marketplace or Dashboard.
Step 1: Guidelines & Review Rules
The first screen displays the MCP Upload Guidelines. You must review the requirements before proceeding.
- Review Rules: Your submission will first go through an AI Automated Review (checking files, descriptions, and docs) followed by a Manual Review.
- Action: Click Next to acknowledge the rules.
Step 2: Service Info (Basic Information)
In this step, you define how your server appears in the Marketplace. All fields are required.
- Service Name: Enter the official name of the MCP Service.
- Service Provider: Enter the name of the publisher or organization.
- Category: Select the correct category from the dropdown (e.g., Productivity, Dev Tools). Note: There are 7 categories; you can select multiple if applicable.
- Logo: Upload a clear image icon.
- Requirement: Must be under 2MB and resolution 512x512px.
- Use Cases: Describe typical usage scenarios.
- Format: Sentences should be concise, parallel in structure, and highlight the core functional value.
- Description: A brief introduction to the service.
- Limit: 50–300 characters.
- Action: Click Next.
Step 3: Configuration (MCP Config)
Here you define the technical connection details. The system will automatically generate the final JSON configuration based on your inputs.
- Select MCP Type: Choose one of the following:
- STDIO: For local command-line tools.
- SSE: For remote Server-Sent Events.
- StreamableHTTP: For high-performance streamable endpoints.
- Input Details: Fill in the specific command arguments or URL endpoints required for your chosen type.
- Action: Click Next.
Step 4: Documentation
You must provide a technical guide for end-users.
- Upload File: Upload your documentation in Markdown format (.md).
- Standards: Ensure the document follows technical writing standards (deployment steps, tool definitions, troubleshooting) to pass the AI review.
- Action: Click Next.
Step 5: Video (Demo)
Provide a visual walkthrough of your server.
- Upload Video: Upload a video file demonstrating how to deploy and use the server.
- Format: Currently, only .mp4 videos are supported.
- Requirement: This step is marked as Optional in the UI, but highly recommended for approval.
- Action: Click Submit to finalize your application.
Tracking Your Status
After submission, your application will appear in the My Published MCP tab on your Dashboard.
- Pending: The application is currently under review (AI or Manual).
- Rejected: The submission failed a review check. Click the Edit icon to view the specific reason (e.g., "Description too short" or "Invalid Logo size") and resubmit.
- Published: Your server is live in the Marketplace.
