Connecting to Walmart

After getting the API Key, sign in to item DI and follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to Merchants > select the desired merchant > Connectors.
  2. Select Sales Channels under the Live Channels section.
  3. Click the + New Channels button. The new channels window will appear.
  4. Select Walmart Marketplace from the channels list.
  5. Fill out the required fields:
    • Channel Name
    • Customer ID (Client ID)
    • Private Key (Client Secret)
  6. Click Test Connection.
  7. If the "Connection Successful" message appears, click Submit. The BigCommerce channel will be connected.

Default Switch

  1. The default switch protocol pop-up window will appear, and the system will automatically enable data syncs including order sync, shipment status sync, and inventory sync.
  2. To proceed, check the box next to I agree and click Submit.

It’s recommended to enable data syncs when connecting channels. If you skip this step, you can still configure these options in Sales Channel Settings (opens in a new tab). When you switch to other item applications, the connected channels under this merchant will be synced as well.
