One Way Move Routing

One Way Move

In the drayage logistics, one way move routing refers to a single-direction transportation strategy where a truck moves a container from the origin to the destination (such as from the port to warehouse) without a return load or backhaul.
This routing is commonly used when there is no immediate demand for return transportation, or when the truck is scheduled or other tasks after delivery. It prioritize simplicity and efficiency for specific cargo deliveries.

One way move routing template contains one move, including Pickup Container and Return Container two events.
This article provides the guidance on how to complete the load process with this routing template.

Dispatch Load on Web

This section provides the structure on how dispatcher edit the load information and arrange driver assignment.

  1. Navigate to Dispatcher > Dispatcher List, confirm the target load and click Load # into details page. It supports quick searching via Load #.

  1. Keep on Info Tab, update the Vessel ETA, Last Free Day and Discharged Date. More field details, please refer to this article (opens in a new tab).

  1. Click Routing tab, confirm the Routing Template then to select a driver to execute Move.

Accept and Execute Move 1 on Web

This section explains how the driver confirms the acceptance and executes the task on mobile app.

  1. Go to Home > Upcoming to view all assigned tasks.
  2. Confirm the target task then tap the task into details page to confirm the acceptance.
  3. Tap Accept Load button to accept it. Otherwise, tap Reject button. Tap YES to continue.

  1. Go to Active tab to view the accepted loads, then confirm the target load and update the status for corresponding progress.
  2. Start the first event: Pickup Container. When you arrived the pickup location, please tap Arrived button to update the status. Tap CONFIRM to process.
  3. Tap Departed when you drive to next location.

  1. Continue second event: Return Container. Tap Arrived to update the status if you arrived in delivery destination.

When you complete the entire task, the load will been displayed under Complete tab.

Complete Load on Web

After all moves completing, the dispatcher should check the process and confirm to complete the load on web. Here are the corresponding steps.

  1. Enter the details page of the target load.
  2. Switch to Routing tab, check the process to confirm whether existing any issues.
  3. Click Complete Load if everything is correct.
