Product Designated Warehouse

Product Designated Warehouse

You can assign specific SKUs to fixed warehouses by configuring the Product Designated Warehouse Rules. When enabled, sales orders containing these SKUs will always be routed to the designated warehouse, regardless of inventory levels or other routing rules.

This rule has higher priority than ZIP Code, regional, or ranking-based routing. It is typically used for special product types, such as fragile, regulated, or warehouse-specific items.

Assign warehouse by SKU

  1. Go to Automation > Product Designated Warehouse.
  2. Click Add Product.
  3. In the dialog:
    • Select a SKU from the dropdown.
    • Choose the corresponding Warehouse.
  4. Click Confirm to save.
  5. The record will appear in the list view. You can edit or delete it as needed.
  6. (Optional) Use Bulk Import to upload multiple SKU–warehouse pairs at once.

Routing Logic

When this rule is enabled:

  • The system checks whether a sales order item has a designated warehouse.
  • If a match is found, the order line will be allocated directly to that warehouse.
  • Other routing rules (e.g., Assign by ZIP Code or Ship from Closest Location) will not apply to that SKU.

If no designated warehouse exists for a product, the system continues with other routing conditions defined under Sales Order Routing.

  • This rule is mutually exclusive with Assign Warehouse by ZIP Code” and general warehouse matching rules.
  • Ensure that the designated warehouse has valid WMS configuration and inventory sync enabled; otherwise, order routing may fail.
