Introduction

Item Agent Overview

The Item Agent platform is a centralized system designed to manage agents and support knowledge base development through file uploads. It provides users with a streamlined interface to discover available agents, manage relevant resources, and access their own agent configurations.

The platform is structured around three main modules: Discover, Resources, and My Agents. It enables efficient agent management and knowledge enrichment in a user-friendly environment with these modules.

Account Registration & Login

Depending on your company and employment status, the account registration process may vary. This section explains the process of the three common scenarios below.

UNIS Company - New Users

This process is suitable for new employees, generally you will get the account credentials for Item Agent logging. The specific registration workflow is as below:

  1. Manager or supervisor create the user account on the Paylocity HRM platform with employee’s email address.

  2. The user information will be synchronized with the IAM, and an IAM account will be automatically created.

  3. The IAM account will be also automatically bound with the employee ID which is HRM.

  4. The new employee can login to the Item Agent platform using the work email and a default password (iam123456).

Note:

  1. If you don’t have an account, please contact your manager or supervisor to register one account on Paylocity platform first.
  2. It’s better to update your password after first login.

UNIS Company - Existing Users

This process is designed for existing users, who already registered the Paylocity account and IAM account but failed to login Item Agent. The login failure is caused by a missing link between IAM account and the Employee ID.

Please refer to the following steps to complete the account verify first.

  1. There will pop-up a window to prompt you complete account verification, when you enter the account credentials for logging. Please click the link, it will redirect to HRM page for further operations.

  1. Enter the Employee Code to complete blind. As for the employee code, please retrieve it referring to the instructions and figure in the right.

  2. Confirm all information is correct then submit the verification request.

  1. Upon successful binding, it will automatically redirect the user to the Item Agent.

Item Company - Users

The account registration for new users in Item Company exists a bit different. Item has their own HRM system instead of the third-party system, the specific workflow is as shown below:

  1. Administer will register the account on Item HRM.

  2. Item HRM will sync the user information and account information to IAM and automatically create an IAM account.

  3. Please use the email address and the default password (iam123456) to login.
