Cycle Count tasks are used to verify the exact quantity of goods at a certain location.

Cycle Count tasks are used to verify the exact quantity of goods at a certain location. Each Count Record is tied to a location or a specific range of locations (example: aisles 1-10). Thus, when performing a Cycle Count task, the warehouse staff member is directed to that location (or range).

If there are any discrepancies between the system and the count, create a Recount task and look at the Comparison report. This report shows you the number in the system, the first Cycle Count, and then the Recount(s).

Lastly, Cycle Count tasks can be temporary interruptions to the daily operations. While performing a Cycle Count task, you cannot pick or put away items to that location. Therefore, schedule this task accordingly. After performing a CC task, you must release the inventory to be used for outbound orders.
